If you are having contant buffering on firestick, it is most likely due to a few different things.
1. You are not clearing cache on all apps on firestick on at least a weekly basis.
Steps to Clear All App Cache:
- Go to the Settings (gear icon) on your Firestick home screen.
- Select Applications.
- Select Manage Installed Applications.
- Scroll down and select
Clear all Application Caches.
- Select OK to confirm.
- Note: If you do not see the "Clear all" option, you may need to select individual, high-usage apps (like YouTube, Prime Video, or Kodi) and select "Clear cache" one by one.
- Benefits: This frees up storage space and can fix buffering or slow performance issues.
- Note on Data: Clearing the cache does not log you out of apps or delete app data.
Reboot the firestick.
2. Delete unwqnted apps from Firestick:
To delete apps on a Firestick, navigate to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications, select the app, and choose Uninstall. Alternatively, highlight an app on your home screen, press the Menu button (three horizontal lines), and select Uninstall.
Method 1: Via Settings (Recommended)
- Go to the Settings gear icon on the home screen.
- Select Applications.
- Choose Manage Installed Applications.
- Select the app you want to remove and click Uninstall.

Method 2: Via Home Screen
